Tapered beaks can provide deeper access into the tooth socket and maximize the tooth-to-forceps contact. Serrated beaks aid in gripping the tooth surface which may assist in atraumatic removal of the tooth and can potentially reduce the risk of fractures or trauma to the surrounding hard and soft tissues. The take-apart feature of the Miltex® Grip Deep™ Extracting Forceps has a right and left side which can be separated to allow access between the box-lock / hinge area for instrument cleaning and processing.
